In March 2008 Dynofighters hit Italian newsstands. One could be forgiven for at first assuming they are the next series of Gormiti but in fact they were created by a seperate company jumping on the hugely succesfull Gormiti bandwagon. They are slightly larger and made of slightly softer plastic than Gormiti.
Dynofighters are seperated into different regions, People of the Sea, Grasslands, Sun, Mountains and Forest (sound familiar!?). Each region has 3 characters:

Gameplay appears to be based around a set of 120 cards but the official website seems to promote interraction with Gormiti figures. Each of the Gormiti regions is specifically mentioned then followed this rough translation:
"Dynofighters fear no enemy. Strengthened by developments that have them fitted with steel structures making them almost indestructible, they are not afraid of invasions of other peoples from distant islands."
Currently there are a few other Dynofighters products available; temporary tattoos, water guns, a guide book and costumes. It also appears that they are building a virtual world where Dynofighters can battle...virtually.
The artwork for these figures is amazing although some of the sculpts let them down slightly but then the same could be said for the first Italian serie(s) of Gormiti.
We will have to see if they can even come close to the popularity of Gormiti, The Invincible Lords of Nature!
