Details: Street Fighter started life in 1987 as an arcade 'beat-em-up' but it wasn't until the release of Street Fighter II in 1991 that the line really took off.
With this popularity, Japan saw the release of Street Fighter II keshi. The line was released in various parts (series) and included many characters. If a character was repeated from a previous line, they would assume a new pose, in one of their signature moves from the games.

Figures were available in either gumball style vending machine capsules or small 100 yen boxes
The boxes came with some pretty nifty character cards too:
The figures in these boxes came in specific pairings as illustrated on the side of the box:
Each pairing was also attached by a spru:
As is common place with Japanese keshi, some of the figures are photographed on the back of the box fully painted:
The figures from Gumball Machines came with pamphlets showing the figures available in that particular series:
Series 1
Series 2
Other types of Street Fighter II keshi include, Clothed:
And Super Deformed:
All in all a varied and fun line whether you're a fan of the video game or not!
