Artist: OZWORKSHOP

Medium: Minecraft

Name of Piece: ■ MINECRAFT GHIBLI WORLD ■

About: Where to start? Studio Ghibli is the animation film studio of Hayao Miyazaki. He is responsible for such animated works as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, and many other amazing movies.

Minecraft is a video game in which players have the ability to literally build worlds, block by block; imagine a digital version of Lego.

Combine the two and you get: Minecraft Ghibli World! Those builings, mountains, and other structures you see in the video above were built piece by piece, block by block. They weren't simply rendered in photoshop. I do know that players can employ bots that help them build mass structures, but it's still essentially built in the same fashion as a Lego block structures.

So what does this have to do with minifigures or cards? Unfortunately, nothing. But how cool would it be if there were Studio Ghibli keshi? Considering Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki are products of Japan, I can't believe there aren't!

(Hopefully someone will soon contact me and tell me I'm wrong!)
