Collector's Note: The Phantom Shithouse, conceived and designed by Kyle Thye and sculpted by Ralph Niese for series I of the super very awesome toy line OMFG!, manages to be both menacing and hilarious at the same time. The concept and the sculpt are delightful. Pure mini figure win.

Since the line's release, some interesting facts and ideas have been tossed around concerning the Shithouse. Over at the October Toys forum, member PharmaDan shared that outhouses with the moon symbol indicate an outhouse designated for female use. He speculated that the Phantom Shithouse may thus be a female! However, member URS speculated that the phantom possessing the outhouse was a creepy guy who had been hiding under the toilet of the outhouse waiting to do some peeping. Unable to get back out from under the toilet, he died and became the Phantom Outhouse. However, he's still interested in the gals which is why he's still looking for a hug, haha.

Collector's Note: Man, this is a shitty card! :D The Phantom Shithouse, conceived and designed by Kyle Thye and sculpted by Ralph Niese for series I of the super very awesome toy line OMFG! I love this piece because Ralph seems to go out of his way to capture just how crappy this character is! Just look at that feces ooze! You can almost smell the stank wafting off of it! Well done, Ralph. The red background, yellow text box, and font are also retrotastic!

Collector's Note: The first wave of OMFG! is comprised of five creative and highly detailed sculpts, but King Castor is a standout for me. It's not that I feel the sculpt itself is necessarily superior to the other figures, but the character especially captures my imagination. (The comic panel for King Castor that Ralph Niese created only adds to the character's imaginative appeal. You can see the full comic at the Onell Glyos blog. Check the resources menu on the right for a link.)

 

The UOM yellow is super attractive as I hope you can see. I had mixed feelings about it at first. I thought it might be too "mustardy" but that's not the case. And I especially love the header card. It may be my favorite of the bunch, and that's saying something as they're all nice and fun. As for the baggy itself; let's just say I was afraid to touch it for fear that it would disintegrate on contact, haha!

Inspiration: Haha, okay, those are all crap-o names, but I'm just having fun. These are my submissions for OMFG! Series Two. If you haven't heard, OMFG! Series One has been fully funded. In fact, it took just five days of pledging. However, pledges are still being accepted; according to George of the October Toys website, coordinator of the project, additional funds will be used to make more colors and Series Two! Of course, you can also pledge just to make sure you get your share of Series One figures!

Artist's Note: The first two characters, the BEB and RBT guys, were inspired by the M.U.S.C.L.E. can. I've always been a fan, not just of minifigs, but of their packaging and packaging art as well. I would love to see the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E. can incorporated in to OMFG! S2 in some way, shape, or form.

Mecha Brains (a play on Mega Brains) is simply an attempt on my part to pull two of my favorite toy concepts together: Brains and Mechas!

Finally we have Keshi Thingz. I love keshi, plain and simple; I think everything in keshi form is awesome. Doesn't matter what it is, if you make it in the form of a keshi in pink, light blue, green, or whatever colors, I've got to have it! Keshi Thingz is the perfect way to make everything into a keshi. It could be a mini M.U.S.C.L.E. can, a hamster, a mini Nintendo Wii, a mini iPhone, a toe, a one-eyed anteater, the list goes on.

Some time in early 2011, the idea for a new M.U.S.C.L.E.- and M.I.M.P.-inspired toy line began to take shape at the October Toys forum. (October Toys are the brains behind the awesome Z.O.M.B.I.E.S. toy line.) Several incredibly talented artists and toy enthusiasts began to brainstorm and flesh-out the details of the project that was to be designed and created top-to-bottom by toy collectors. After several months of churning out character and sculpt ideas, logo and packaging designs, the project began to take on the unmistakable shape of pure, 100%, ass-kicking goodness.
